Joel Aldous

In 2012, Joel rode 200 miles on his bicycle in a pair of Vans from Ventura Pier to Pizza Port in Ocean Beach. He was 16 years old and had never even ridden more than 50 miles on a bike much less 200 miles in a day. This guy has got some gigantic balls and is a complete bad ass.

Joel. Second on the left.

Now in 2015, Joel is taking Ride4water into his true passion which is skating the OB skatepark and other spots in SD.

We caught up with Joel and talked with him about it.

What are you calling these nights? “Friday Skate Sessions”

When will they be? Every Friday from 3-5

Where will they be? 3901 Loma Land Drive, Point Loma CA

Why are you doing them? I love skating with everything in me and I dig skating with my friends. Therefore, why not provide a safe and fun environment for skaters to do what they love most while simultaneously connecting them to something that is bigger then themselves.

Helmet / pads required? Helmets and permission slips that we have on site.

Any other info to include about the night?

We skate for 50 minutes – eat pizza and do a quick Bible study – skate for another 50 minutes.  The tagline for raising money will be “don’t chip in towards pizza – chip in towards water”

Questions about you :

Age : 18

Hometown : San Diego

Years skating : 8

Any sponsors? Finesse Skateboards, Ocean Beach Surf and Skate
